Convertkit is an email marketing software (or an email service provider) that is specifically built around the needs of bloggers, writers, podcasters, course creators, YouTubers, content creators and others who are working to build an audience.

The platform helps you to increase your email subscriber list and automate email marketing with drag-n-drop email sequences, workflow automation rules, landing page templates, custom opt-in forms, and more.

It has all the basic functionality you expect from an email marketing software.

Autoresponders (email sequences)

It has segmentation options so you have multiple lists and trigger different responses based on people's engagement with your email.

I have personally used ConvertKit and it is a great software to use. I have been on their free plan, and that's mainly what I use (limit of 1000 subscribers). I am not a paying subscriber.

What is GetResponse?

GetResponse, in operation since 1998, is one of the oldest and most well-known email marketing companies in the world.

Getresponse is an email marketing app that allows you to create a mailing list and capture data onto it create newsletters that can be sent to the subscribers on your mailing list automate your emails to subscribers via the use of autoresponders' view and analyse statistics related to your email marketing campaigns open rate, click-through, forwards etc.

Recently however, Getresponse has shifted its emphasis considerably: the product now aims to be more of an 'all-in-one' marketing solution rather than just an email marketing tool.

Accordingly, in addition to email marketing, Getresponse now also provides e-commerce features, webinar hosting, landing pages and automated sales funnels.

I have personally used GetResponse since August 2018.

Their customer support is 5-star. They have 24/7 human support, which is rare. They are always available and helpful.

Their email deliverability is great.

Being a long-standing software, they are easy to integrate with many other tools out there.

This is my number 1 recommendation for anyone starting online. Their basic plan is reasonably priced, it is easy to use, and has 24/7 support - which when you are getting started or technically challenged, is invaluable.

I personally do not find the value in their additional services of funnels, landing pages, webinars, etc. I simply use their basic plan for my autoresponder automation and sending broadcast emails to my list.

It integrates with EranFunnels too, with a simple copy and paste.
